Project

McDonald Electrical’s comprehensive historic renovation and restoration of the Boston Opera House included the installation of new power and electrical distribution systems, elaborate lighting retrofit, and a new fire alarm system. The project also included the installation of pathways for theatrical lighting and the theatre’s new sound system. The project entailed the installation of more than 79 miles of new wiring and 350 restored light fixtures and chandeliers. The team met an aggressive nine-month renovation schedule to accommodate the theatre’s grand reopening schedule, which featured a six-month run of The Lion King.
