One Channel Center

Project

One Channel Center in Boston’s Innovation District included the shell and core electrical construction of a new 550,000 square-foot, 12-story office building for State Street Corporation. The project scope was comprised of the installation of primary and emergency power systems, a new high-rise fire alarm system, and core lighting.

Power installations included three 4,000 Amp N-Star services and paralleling switchgear, two 2,000 AMp bus duct risers for future tenant fit-out, a 3,000 Amp bus duct feeder to the mechanical switchboard, and power for all mechanical equipment. A 700KW emergency generator was installed for the life safety system and two 2MW generators and paralleling switchgear for a large data project profile. 

The scope also included the installation of electrical distribution, lighting, power, security, and fire alarm systems for the new 10-story Channel Center Garage, associated parks, and roadways.
