Dave Viau

Dave Viau is the Power Division Manager at McDonald Electrical, bringing more than two decades of experience in the electrical industry. A 23-year member of IBEW Local 103, Dave has progressed through every stage of the trade, beginning as an Apprentice and advancing through roles as Journeyman, Foreman, General Foreman, Project Manager, and now Division Manager.

Dave has been with McDonald Electrical for nine years and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Power & Utility Division, including financial oversight and forecasting, estimating, customer relationships, business development, and day-to-day division operations. Prior to joining McDonald Electrical, he spent 14 years with a large union electrical contractor, where he built a strong foundation in complex power and utility projects.

His project experience spans high-voltage and medium-voltage systems, utility substation construction, power distribution, industrial controls, airfield lighting systems, and transportation infrastructure. Dave’s hands-on background and comprehensive understanding of the industry play a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality solutions for McDonald Electricals’ clients.
