Project Scope

Ground-up electrical construction and fit-out of 330-room boutique Starwood Hotel in Boston’s Seaport, across from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The Comprehensive electrical project includes McDonald Electrical’s installation of electrical distribution, lighting and lighting control system, fire alarm, exterior facade and rooftop accent lighting, and City of Boston street lighting. Lighting installations included an intricate Luton lighting control system. 

The Hotel’s ground floor is comprised of a lobby/lounge area, fitness center, and outdoor pool/patio; the 2nd floor is comprised of banquet rooms, state-of-the-art meeting rooms, and a grand ballroom. McDonald also provided complete tel/data, cable TV installations, and security wiring.  

A field crew comprised of 35 journeyman electricians and 10 telecom technicians were managed at peak construction.
